Patrick Size Bourgogne  Aligote 2006 France
$12.75

Aligote is the “other white Burgundy.” This grape is grown in relatively small quantities and is usually drunk as an aperitif or with seafood and shellfish. Patrick Size’s domaine is in the Cote Chalonnaise where he grows mostly Chardonnay. He has a little less than half an acre of Aligote so you won’t be finding this in Costco. Dry and clean with good but not excessive acidity.

P. S. Aligote is the traditional base of the Kir.

govino shatterproof wine glasses
$2.25

What a great product. Made from crystal clear plastic, these glasses are correctly shaped so you can enjoy a fine wine in conditions that usually don't allow for proper stemware. Perfect for picnics, Hollywood Bowl and large gatherings.

Brewer Clifton Pinot Noir "Zotovich" 200 California

$41.75

.Greg Brewer and Steve Clifton are two of California’s best winemakers. They each have individual projects, but when they join forces they are unstoppable. These are some of California’s most coveted wines and we are lucky to get the few bottles that we are allocated. The Zotovich is easily the most forward of the current crop with soft, red fruit flavors and a complex, slightly brushy finish.

Chateau Haut Coteau St. Estephe 2001 France
$30.75

Here is a great chance to drink a nice Bordeaux with a little age and not have to live out of a shopping cart to do it. 60% Cabernet, 40% Merlot. Soft and elegant. Traditional in style. The real deal. For the person who doesn't have to have everything.

Capote Velho Tinto NV Portugal
$10.00

This value packed bottle is the perfect “don’t think about it” red. It’s a non-vintage blend of  Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, aka Tempranillo. Smooth and easy to drink, medium bodied and priced right. The Holly Golightly of wine.
